You'll be joining an ambitious, collaborative team that's working on a huge opportunity.We announced our in February 2022 raising $150m in funding at $1.6bn valuation; backed by world-leading VCs including QED and DST Global.Teams at Wayflyer are truly cross-functional. Regardless of your role at Wayflyer, you'll work with a variety of different disciplines and teams from around the world on a multitude of challenging projects and game-changing products to revolutionise the eCommerce landscape.What you'll doFacilitate the monthly management accounts cycle, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.Assist in year-end processes, including statutory accounting requirements, and collaborate with external auditors for all entities.Support Commercial Finance in budgeting and forecastingSupport our Tax Team to fulfil relevant obligations.Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and debt covenants.Contribute to the development and maintenance of the accounting policy manual, staying aware of changes to accounting policies and analysing their impact.Engage in ad hoc projects aimed at enhancing processes and methodologies within the finance team and company.Drive efficiency through automation initiatives, taking ownership and action to streamline workflows.You will have a positive attitude and someone who assumes ownership with a bias for action and not afraid to get stuck in or challenge the status quoKnowledge, skills and experienceBachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in Accounting and FinanceProven experience in financial operations support, preferably in a multinational tech environment.Willingness to learn accounting principles and audit procedures relevant to our organisation.Familiarity with NetSuite, Xero and Fathom accounting software is highly desirableStrong analytical skills with attention to detail.Excellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to adapt to change and drive continuous improvement.Chartered Accountant or equivalent certification is preferred.What is important to point out is that you can do most or all of the above mentioned and can point to your real experience doing it.
