Coordinator of the Logan LibraryRose-Hulman Institute of Technology has an amazing opportunity for individuals excited and committed to lifelong learning as a Coordinator of the Logan Library.As the Coordinator of the Logan Library you will hire, train, schedule, supervise, and evaluate student library employees; provide daily work and task direction to student library employees; process and approve student payroll. You will place purchase orders and track financial transactions, including delivery of purchases, account reconciliations, check requests, interdepartmental invoices, vendor agreements and expense reports. You will create periodic budget projection estimates and assist with annual budget process. You will manage overdue library materials notifications, returns, library catalog updates, and billing with the Business Office. You will manage library catalog updates and transactions with faculty members for print course reserve materials. You will conduct citation verification of faculty authored citations prior to inclusion in the library managed institutional repository. You will assist with the mailing and return processing of interlibrary loan materials.As the Coordinator of the Logan Library you will work collaboratively with library staff, to provide customer service while assisting library patrons with questions on directions, services, policies, website, catalog, databases, and room reservations. You will provide general office support for the Logan Library, including contacts, account numbers, staff and student employee handbooks. You will initiate and resolve service requests. You will ensure operations are performed within applicable laws, national library protocols, and Rose-Hulman and library policies and procedures.You will oversee circulation processes including processing new library materials; check in new print periodicals and claim missing issues. You will select, order, copy catalog, process, display, and return leased books.You will orchestrate library events; lead the library in developing, planning, organizing, promoting, and executing library events and displays. You will develop, publish, and maintain library's internal web pages; manage and regularly promote the library using the library's social media accounts and Campus Groups site; maintain library bulletin board and kiosk library displays.Qualified candidates will have a bachelor's degree and two to three years of relevant experience. Strong computer and internet literacy skills, including fluency with Microsoft Office suite, web browsers, and social media are required. Excellent oral and written communication, proofreading, and scheduling skills are essential. The ability to effectively present information and respond to questions is required. Must be able to read, analyze, and interpret policies, procedures, periodicals, and financial spreadsheets.Preferred candidates will have completed of one more MLS/MIS/MLIS or equivalent advanced degree courses from an American Library Association-accredited institution (or international equivalent). Three years of library work experience, including general office duties and processing financial transactions and prior supervisory experience is preferred. Basic project/process management skills are preferred. Experience configuring and troubleshooting computers and printers is highly desired.
