- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Marketing and Production, to bring new products to market.
- Research and Analysis:
- Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, customer preferences, and competitive products.
- Stay abreast of industry advancements and technological innovations in flavor science.
- Formulation and Testing:
- Formulate and optimize flavor profiles, ensuring consistency, quality, and adherence to regulatory standards.
- Coordinate sensory evaluations and consumer testing to gather feedback for continuous improvement.
- Quality Assurance:
- Work closely with the Quality Assurance team to establish and maintain quality control measures.
- Ensure products meet regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Project Management:
- Develop and manage project timelines, ensuring timely delivery of R&D initiatives.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to align R&D efforts with overall business objectives.
- Budget Management:
- Manage the R&D budget, allocating resources efficiently to achieve project goals.
- Identify cost-effective solutions without compromising on quality.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of formulations, processes, and project outcomes.
- Prepare regular reports for senior management, summarizing R&D activities, achievements, and future.
- Bachelor's or advanced degree in Food Science, Chemistry, or a related field.
- Proven experience in flavour development, preferably within the food and beverage industry.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
- In-depth knowledge of food chemistry, sensory science, and flavour creation.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements for the food industry.
- Effective communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
