- Develop HR plans and strategies to support the achievement of strategic objectives and achievement of desired culture, providing overall leadership, direction and development of the HR function including training, staffing, compensation to implement HR strategies
- Assess the effectiveness of the organization's business model and organization dynamics and leads efforts to realign/refocus as needed.
- Provide ongoing advice and counsel to all levels of the organization to resolve employee related matters and partners with management to ensure fair and equitable solutions are implemented and issues are resolved
- Prepare expenses reports as required by Company policies (daily, weekly, monthly, annually) and audits area under responsibility, document findings and suggestions to improve processes; assuring the compliance with all internal and external regulations and standards.
- Drive organization wide talent planning initiatives (in partnership with Corporate Talent Management) including profiling, assessment, calibration, development planning and organizational planning.
- Ensure integrated HR systems including compensation and performance management are implemented.
- Manage and oversee the implementation and administration of Equal Employment Opportunity/Affirmative Action Program in compliance with federal and local agencies and create and implement community relations programs
- Lead all aspects of the administration of the cafeteria and employee uniform services
- Implement and direct professional and technical recruiting as well as manage non-exempt recruiting plans for the site maintaining compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
- Ensure the compensation program practices for the plant are internally equitable, and competitive to create the adequate environment towards optimum levels of performance.
- Serve as local point of contact for benefit programs.
- Bachelor’s Degree (B.B.A.) in Human Resources, Business Administration or (B.A.) Psychology, Master’s Degree (M.B.A.) (M.A.) desirable
- 8 + years of experience in a Human Resources Generalist position at an exempt level
- Hands-on experience in understanding, administering, and implementing local and federal labor law and regulations
- Advance computer skills and use of software application(s)
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and responsibilities in a changing environment
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employee of organization.
- Ability to speak and write English and Spanish fluently
- Excellent mathematical skills and ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
