An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Grants Manager to join a fantastic charity working to provide long-term sustainable help to vulnerable young people, by working closely with organisations supporting families, schools and local communities.Location: Hybrid working, 2 days can be from home and 3 days a week based in the Westminster office.Salary: Circa £60,000As Senior Grants Manager you will be an ambassador for the Foundation and will lead implementation of the grant making strategy to provide opportunities for children and young people (0-25 years old). You will be responsible for National Grants, building a National Rural Grants programme and managing and developing the existing Grant Management team.Key responsibilities include:
  • Working closely with Philanthropy Director to develop a Grants Strategy across all
  • grant programmes: Partnership Grants, Fivefield Grants, Small Grants, National
  • Grants.
  • Working closely with the Senior Finance and Operations Managers to plan grants
  • budgets and cashflow projection.
  • Developing a National Grants Strategy identifying national charities whose aims and
  • purposes will further the strategic aims of the Foundation.
  • Having overall accountability and oversight of the Partnership Grantees to consider portfolio level analysis of impact, efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Working closely with the Westminster Foundation Director and Senior Communications and Engagement Manager to develop a Stakeholder Engagement Strategy.
  • Working closely with the Impact and Evaluation Manager to ensure that they are able to consolidate and communicate their impact at the highest level.
The successful candidate will have strong Grant Management experience (minimum of 5 years) ideally with a large funder and a passion for working to improve life chances of vulnerable children and young people. You will be collaborative and collegiate with a willingness to contribute to and strengthen a strong team culture to empower team members to lead and develop, and be an articulate and confident presenter, able to bring stakeholders together at the highest levels to unlock problems with strong skills of persuasion.
