Senior Finance Specialist (Handle India Office)

The incumbent will be based in Singapore and responsible for the day-to-day operation of India office and back-up for Philippines office.Responsibilities:
  • Manage for all aspects associated with group reporting, statutory and tax reporting, local audit and compliance and corporate regulatory requirements for business operations in India with the support of finance service vendors/to-be accounting team.
  • Manage third party external service providers that provide statutory accounting, reporting and tax consultancy.
  • Prepare monthly management report and financial analysis required for the India entity’s group reporting in accordance with month-end close deadlines.
  • Prepare monthly forecasting and semi-annual budgeting.
  • Prepare and submit quarterly reporting package.
  • Prepare inter-co billing for labour and service recharge.
  • Cultivate finance partnership with internal and external stakeholders, customers, and finance service vendors.
  • Set-up local accounting team.
  • Any other ad-hoc matter.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Accounting or ACCA / relevant professional accounting qualification.
  • At least 8 to 10 years of relevant experience in accounting, tax, and compliance.
  • Good knowledge of India GAAP, application of local tax regulations and withholding tax, previous auditing experience is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • Action-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills, ready to roll up your sleeves and deliver in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to present information effectively through writing, presentations, and spreadsheets.
  • Collaborative and proactive with a strong sense of ownership, possessing the ability to prioritize tasks when faced with multiple, diverse, and conflicting demands.
  • Proven experience as a business partner and team leader with the ability to think strategically.
  • Able to manage problems with confidence and maturity, knowing when to make decisions and when to escalate appropriately.
  • Strong communication and good interpersonal skills.
  • A meticulous, organized, and resourceful team player.
  • A highly motivated individual who works independently with little supervision.
  • Willing to travel to India to meet the local accounting team, internal stakeholders and finance service vendors when requested.
