- Develop the Sales strategy and the annual operating plan that will be required to deliver it, ensuring alignment to business objectives.
- Establish and agree all budgeting, resourcing and delivery plans for the Sales function in order to optimize performance in line with strategic goals.
- Champion and embed the organization brand values and standards within the organisation and monitor effectiveness in order to drive the desired culture.
- Responsible for effective implementation of sales, distribution, merchandising and through-the-line marketing strategies, objectives and programs. Monitor progress and recommend corrective action where necessary.
- Accountable for territory planning & management, field force deployment decisions, and customer service.
- Directs and evaluates the generation of monthly, quarterly forecasts and input to annual volume forecast for production, in conjunction with planning, in order to ensure appropriate inventory availability.
- University Degree / MBA or equivalent educational background.
- Relevant experience in FMCG sales functions. Experience leading sales teams, DSO. Plus if the experience comes from the tobacco industry.
- Appreciation of market/taxation legislation, marketing standards in the tobacco industry.
- English (fluent, written and spoken).
- Experienced user of Microsoft Office products.
