To lead on our energy projects, we are looking for a Senior Carbon Capture Specialist to join us in either London or Glasgow. Working on carbon capture, flue gas treatment, liquefaction, intermediate storage, and transport projects, you'll take a technical lead on advising our clients.
Your key responsibilities will be:
  • Technical lead on carbon capture, flue gas treatment, liquefaction, and intermediate storage & transport projects.
  • Pre-Feasibility, Feasibility and FEED studies including CAPEX and OPEX estimation.
  • Planning, design, construction, and integration of Green Fuels/Power-to-X solutions.
  • Guiding and supervising colleagues in process flow diagrams, calculations, PSV sizing, P&IDs, and system designs.
  • Safety assessments (HAZID/HAZOP).
  • Contributing to continuously enhancing our process design, knowledge, and capabilities.
  • Taking responsibility for process design and optimisation.
  • Where required, participating in the department's business development activities

On top of that, you'll have:
  • Significant experience as a process engineer, with demonstrable Carbon Capture, Flue Gas Treatment, CO2 liquefaction, green fuels or PtX technologies.
  • Experience in biomass or waste to energy processes or cement projects.
  • In-depth experience in some of the following areas: chemical/process engineering, power plants, chemical synthesis plants, pyrolysis, hydrothermal liquefaction or similar processes, refinery operations and energy systems.
  • Experience in Aspen Hysys or similar software is favourable.
  • Preferably a MSc. in Engineering (Process/Chemical/ Mechanical, Energy or related discipline).
  • Chartered Status preferred.
  • Be able to demonstrate good communication skills and be proficient in the English language
