- Responsible for ecommerce pre-season and in-season demand inputs and other crucial supply planning criteria (current inventory levels and buy readiness). Including creating and maintaining demand forecasts in various systems.
- DC Inventory responsibility to monitor In Line versus End of Line, seasonality and recommend actions to maintain appropriate inventory targets
- Maximize ecommerce in-season in-stock and sales through daily and weekly monitoring of published web pages and DC inventory and suggesting inventory segment transfers to maximize sales and profit and capture consumer demand for all channels.
- Partner with and be a functional member of the Ecommerce team to develop demand and inventory strategies that support the Ecommerce and overall Smartwool goals.
- Maximize sales and inventory turns by managing supply and inventory and developing appropriate inventory strategies through supply timing and sales opportunities.
- Continually monitor demand needs and supply timing to identify issues and opportunities and act or document for continued decision making.
- Collaborate with Wholesale Demand Planning when capacity is constrained to forecast/prioritize demand based on supply availability.
- Closely partner with cross functional stakeholders to ensure delivery of current month financial objectives.
- Support Demand Planning Manager in preparation for S&OP monthly Demand Review meeting. Highlight issues and opportunities to drive improved supply chain operational performance and achieve business objectives.
- Participate in longer term view of product design and merchandising and determine the impacts on future season planning.
- Participate in key projects to evolve supply chain capabilities.
- Perform ad hoc analysis and reporting as required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to understand, assess, & problem solve by leveraging technical and analytical skills
- Ability to work effectively within a cross-functional team environment
- Proven ability to multi-task effectively
- Advanced Excel Skills (pivot tables, macro’s)
- Understanding of reporting tools (Business Objects / PowerBI / SAP S4)
- Experience in project planning and implementation
- Self-starter with excellent follow through
- Excellent attention to detail
- SAP System experience a plus
- Minimum of three to five years of experience in supply chain or operations
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from four-year college or university (preferred concentration in Engineering, Supply Chain or Business Management)
- APICS or Six-Sigma Certifications are a plus
- Travel estimated at 5% or less of the time
