Get a glimpse of how we learn .WHY THIS ROLE MATTERSAs a Middle Years Learning Guide, you will be at the forefront of designing and implementing transformative learning experiences. You will co-create the Middle Years Program in our new location St. Pere de Ribes that nurtures a love for learning and equips students with essential skills for success. Additionally, you will help us create a positive culture of learning in a new location. The start date could be end of August 2024.TasksRESPONSIBILITIESLead Program Design: Co-design and lead a comprehensive program for 11 to 13-year-olds, integrating literacy, numeracy, and transdisciplinary learning experiences. Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop innovative, student-centered curriculum.Learning Space Development: Oversee the design and development of engaging learning environments tailored to the needs of middle years learners.Parent Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for communication with parents, providing regular updates on student progress and program developments.Training and Coaching: Train and coach fellow learning guides to effectively implement literacy strategies and facilitate engaging learning experiences.Collaborative Teamwork: Work collaboratively within a cross-functional, agile team to develop and refine learning experiences. Participate in training sessions and coaching to support continuous professional growth.RequirementsREQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCEEducational Expertise: 3-5 years of experience working with 10 to 14-year-olds in innovative learning environments. Demonstrated ability to connect with students and build trusting relationships.Teaching Certificate: officially recognised in Spain for Lower Secondary or Upper Primary.Program Leadership: 3+ years of experience leading educational programs or teams, with a strong understanding of scalability and implementation.Special Needs: Experience with Learning Differences would be a plus.Language Proficiency: C2 level of English proficiency, with preference given to candidates proficient in Spanish or Catalan C2.Innovative Mindset: Capacity to draw from a wide range of learning methodologies and adapt them to meet the needs of diverse learners.Agile Collaboration: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, agile environment, embracing failure as an opportunity for growth and iteration.Join us in shaping the future of education and empowering the next generation of lifelong learners in the Garraf region!BenefitsIf you are up for your next challenge with a world class team, please apply with * your CV and/or portfolio
