- Day to day supervision of the workshop, including housekeeping, maintenance and upkeep of premises
- Supervision of workshop Technicians & Engineers
- Act as a communication channel for clear and concise communication between the workshop team and Survey & Positioning department management
- Supervise and actively contribute to the development plan of survey and positioning hardware and software, contribute to the design and introduction of new survey and positioning hardware and software solutions
- Supervise assembly of survey and positioning hardware according to in-house designs
- Assist workshop manager with identification of procurement needs for survey and positioning systems
- Provide training to offshore personnel on survey and positioning hardware and software.
- Provide Technical support to field crew, help with problem solving and troubleshooting of problems that arise with equipment offshore
- Compile technical documentation (Guides) of InterMoor hardware and Software
- Lead quayside mobilisation and demobilisations
- Actively contribute to Health Safety and Environment systems and strive for a zero-incident rate.
- Assist workshop manager in the preparation of survey and positioning equipment for projects as required by Project Managers, including selection, configuration, bench testing, packaging, and manifesting
- Rent in auxiliary equipment as required
- Coordinate inbound/outbound logistics of rig positioning equipment on a cover basis
- Maintain shipment register on a cover basis
- Coordinate mobilisation of AHV positioning systems at quayside
- Maintain a duty rota to ensure quayside mobs and demobs can be conducted at an on-call basis on a cover basis
- Participate in on-call rotation for offshore support, vessel mobilisation and demobilisation.
- HNC level qualification in engineering subject, electrical/electronic/computing
- Offshore survey engineering experience and operational experience including rig positioning
- Offshore Survival Training & Necessary Medicals
- Experience with selected hydrographic survey and underwater positioning systems
- Good planning; organisation; problem solving and critical thinking skills
- High level of communication skills in both written and verbal
- Ability to work flexible hours
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Good knowledge of electro technical and electronic components and principles
- Good planning and organisational skills
