KNK Recruiting, LLC is seeking a direct hire RNFA for our esteemed client located in the Norwalk, Ohio area.Targeted Base Salary: $70,000 - $100,000 per year (Salary varies depending upon skills and experience level.)About Our Client:
Our client is a prestigious healthcare facility comprising a 99-bed acute care hospital, a 69-bed skilled nursing facility, a 48-unit assisted living facility, home health center, emergency transport, outpatient services, lab services, and imaging and physical rehabilitation healthcare system. With a team of 1,300 employees, our client is a not-for-profit health system dedicated to improving the health and wellness of the communities they serve.Summary of Role:
As an RNFA, you will manage individualized, goal-directed preoperative nursing care through the use of the nursing process and the principles of primary nursing in accordance with departmental and hospital policies and procedures.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the sterility of the field and implement sterile technique processes.
  • Assemble necessary instruments, supplies, and equipment prior to the start of a case.
  • Perform sponge, needle, and instrument counts according to policy.
  • Collect and label specimens accurately.
  • Provide safe transfer of care with communication handoff.
  • Administer and record medications, demonstrating knowledge of commonly used medications.
  • Participate in surgical "Time Out" and "Sign Out" processes.
  • Actively participate in operating room turnover process.
  • Contribute to preparing next day's procedure equipment and supplies.
  • Troubleshoot technology and equipment issues.
Qualifications:
  • Associate Degree or higher in Nursing.
  • Certified Registered Nurse.
  • Certification in ACLS, CPR, and PALS.
