HR AdvisorCarlisleCompetitive Salary + BenefitsWe have a new opening the HR team at our site in Carlisle and we're looking for somebody who can provide a high level of service to the business and help drive cultural change.About Us:Our site in Carlisle is a key part of our Meals Solutions division, comprising of 3 factories and employing around 1,200 people. We produce a huge range of chilled food products for major retailers - it is a busy, fast-paced environment, where things can change very quickly, and no two days are ever the same.About the Role:This is a new role in the team and, working closely with HR Business Partners, you'll be instrumental in supporting leaders across the business by providing advice and guidance on a range of employee relation matters.You'll be spending a lot of your time around the site, getting to know the teams to understand how they work, the challenges they face, and ensure managers understand best practice and are equipped to deal with issues such as performance, absence management, and grievances.There's a lot of change going on within the team, so you will also get involved in projects to improve and update policies, processes, and procedures.We're also committed to developing internal communications, driving engagement, and improving staff wellbeing so you will also have opportunities to be contribute to a wide range of other initiatives.About You:We're looking for somebody with prior experience as an HR Advisor or similar. A background in manufacturing would be ideal, but we're open on background and keen to hear from anybody interested in a career in food manufacturing.You'll be CIPD qualified (or working towards qualification) and a have demonstrable knowledge and hands on experience of managing an ER caseload and current HR legislation.Experience of working in a unionised environment would be an advantage, but the key thing we're looking for is somebody who is proactive, results focused, can build strong relationships with colleagues at all levels and handle a busy workload.
