SEND Teaching AssistantYate£12.86 – 15.00 per hourAre you looking for your next full-time role as a teaching assistant? Vision for Education is seeking to appoint a SEND Teaching Assistant to work in a local primary school in South Gloucestershire on a full-time basis to start as soon as possible.About the roleThe successful Special Educational Needs TA will have a passion for supporting children in their academic and personal growth and be creative in their approach to engage children with their learning. The Teaching Assistant will be tasked with supporting individuals in a classroom setting and meeting the needs of children who have Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. The ideal TA will be proactive in communicating with and helping the classroom teacher and would be a motivated and caring person.About the schoolThe local primary school in Yate has a large site and grass playing fields to allow children to explore. This reflects the school’s ethos of making learning an adventure. The school team are committed to providing support to both students and staff and are seeking a Teaching Assistant who can support the needs of children, manage behaviour effectively and engage children with learning activities. The school has high standards of their students and is seeking a Teaching Assistant who is motivated, proactive and resilient.RequirementsTo be considered for the role of SEND TA you will:
  • Be passionate about supporting children’s life-long learning
  • Eager to support children who have Special Educational Needs and Disabilities
  • Have experience working with children or would be prepared to participate in our NTAP (National Teaching Assistant Program)
  • Hold a driving licence and have access to your own vehicle
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
  • to hold an Enhanced DBS certificate on the update service (child workforce or child and adult workforce)
