We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic professional looking to complete their speciality training working in a senior role, while supporting Registrars and Resident Medical Officers. This position will be best suited to a Level 5 or 6 trainee.This accredited senior registrar position will offer excellent experience in tertiary level antenatal and intrapartum care including ultrasound and labour ward management. The training in general gynaecology unit will allow the successful applicant to consolidate their surgical skills including laparoscopic surgery, prior to entering specialist practice.This is an exceptional and unique opportunity that will enable the successful applicant to gain all the skills they will require to enter specialist practice on completion of this appointment.Salary$131,000 - $183,500 per annumSalary range is in accordance with Medical Practitioners Agreement 2022ClassificationMedical Practitioner Level 5-11 (Registrar/Senior Registrar)AwardMedical Practitioners (Tasmanian State Service) AwardPeriod of EmploymentFixed term, full time day work, 76 hours per fortnight (+10 hours protected training time) commencing 3 February 2025 until 2 February 2026.Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time and part time vacancies.LocationRoyal Hobart Hospital, Obstetrics & GynaecologyEssential RequirementsRegistration/licences that are essential requirements of this role must remain current and valid at all times whilst employed in this role and the status of these may be checked at any time during employment. It is the employee's responsibility to ensure that registration/licences remain current and to advise the Employer if their circumstances change. This includes notifying the Employer of any new criminal convictions and/or if a registration/licence is revoked, cancelled or has its conditions altered.
  • General or limited registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
  • Current Tasmanian Working with Children Registration (where applicable and as determined by individual position requirements).
