With their rapid business growth, they are now looking for a Trade Compliance Director who is familiar with International Trade Regulations and Compliance to oversee their team for APAC markets.Description
  • Oversee compliance of all FTZ operations and processes supporting all International Import/ Export Trade Environment and maximising savings
  • Develop and implement comprehensive trade compliance strategies and policies to ensure compliance with all applicable requirements from US Customs and Border Protection and Government Agencies
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all trade compliance matters, providing guidance and support to internal stakeholders, including procurement, legal, logistics, and sales teams
  • Stay up to date with changes in trade regulations, international trade agreements, and customs laws to ensure ongoing compliance and proactively adapt policies and procedures accordingly.
  • Support customs and Trade Compliance matters such as FTZ, HTZ, NAFTA, ECCN, ITAR, EAR, CTPAT or other global supply chain security programs
  • Responsible for RFQ and all contract review for Transportation and Supply Chain services, IT systems
  • Ensure timely processing of all import/ export clearances
  • Lead internal investigations and manage the resolution of trade compliance incidents or violations, implementing corrective actions and process improvements as necessary
Profile
  • Bachelor's degree in Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
  • 8+ years work experience in Trade Compliance in US companies overseeing APAC markets before
  • Solid knowledge of US trade regulations, including ITAR, EAR, and OFAC requirements, and experience working with international trade agreements
  • Strong understanding of customs laws, import/export controls, and trade compliance best practices
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders
  • Innovative, strong Commercial sense and excellent influencing skills
  • Highly fluent in English, Mandarin, Cantonese
  • 5% - 10% business travel
