We have an open vacancy for an IT Helpdesk Technician who will work on our client's premises on 24x7x365 shifts. Position Responsibilities Serve as the first line of support for all IT-related incidents and inquiries Perform troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve problems (repair or replace parts, debugging etc.) Respond in a timely manner to service issues and requests. Provide technical support across the company (this may be in person or over the phone) Set-up accounts for new users Repair and replace equipment as necessary. Ensure that the software used is up to date. Create tickets to vendors and follow up relevant case until resolution. Maintain records/logs of repairs and fixes and maintenance schedule. Maintain detailed and accurate IT incident records, including actions taken and resolutions achieved. Register equipment in asset management database. Monitor and ensure the well-operation of the infrastructure, servers, routers etc. Identify, propose, schedule, and implement IT infrastructure improvements. Develop and maintain local networks in ways that optimize performance. Ensure security and privacy of networks and computer systems. Provide orientation and guidance to users on how to operate new software and computer equipment. Preparing reports and deliverables for our clients. Professional Experience & Qualifications 1 year of working experience in similar position is a plus but not mandatory. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Vocational Training Institute, or related field Availability to work in shifts Relevant certifications in security (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CySA+, ITIL etc.) will be considered as an asset. Strong knowledge of IT security principles and practices. Experience in a Security Operations Center environment is highly desirable. Knowledge in endpoint security solutions. Familiarity with ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, JIRA) is a plus. Exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
