- Perform classification and statutory surveys onboard existing and new build ships per Lloyd's Register Rules & Regulations, statutory instruments, and respective codes, as well as surveys of marine materials, equipment, and components at manufacturers' works.
- Carry out reporting in an accurate and timely manner and ensure that the reporting is technically and legally correct.
- Offer extensive advice and applicable consultancy in areas of the modern marine industry.
- Conduct activities in line with internal procedures, accreditation schemes, legislation, and industry standards.
- Lead surveys on specific high-risk activities.
- A degree or equivalent from a tertiary organization recognized by Lloyd's Register in marine engineering or naval architecture.
- Working experience from classification, shipping companies, or the shipbuilding industry.
- An awareness of the marine business environment in the onboard work, developing existing business, and reaching for new opportunities.
- A good knowledge of the English a language and the ability to communicate effectively (both oral and written). Knowledge of Dutch and French is an advantage.
- To be IT literate with good working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Package.
- An EU driver's license for personal cars (B-license) as a minimum.
