With major sports and entertainment licenses at their disposal along with a powerful infrastructure, a dedicated team, and a broad variety of products, the company is reaching new heights every day.Our Client's success is directly related to their ability to bring new and exciting designs, ideas, and manufacturing techniques to categories in need of innovation.We have a vacancy for an Assistant Product Developer to join their team and to become part of a rapidly growing apparel department and ensure the objectives of the team are met at every level.The Assistant Product Developer will help to manage the process of developing a product or enhancing existing products in order to meet customer expectations effectively. The Assistant Product Developer will conduct research, develop proposals and supervise the design process, alongside the Design & Product Manager.Key Responsibilities:Product developmentAssisting with product development, ensuring that the product is commercially viable and fits within the range to cater to both wholesale and exclusive [DTC] customers.Assisting with the development of the range plan.Cross-functional collaboration.Assisting with liaising and negotiating with our suppliers to ensure that costs, margin requirements and price points are respected.Carry out material, fabric and trend research on an ongoing basis, present findings to in house teams and customers.Liaise directly with the factories/suppliers when developing new product and visit them when required.Completing initial costings and working with finance department to work out RRPs and final pricing.Helping with all product related queries with all departments.SampleTrack budget on sampling costs.Prepare the showroom with salesman sample, ensure all samples arrive on time.Full ownership of protos and salesman samples, tracking monitoring deliveries to ensure they arrive on time.Trade showsAssist with the admin and logistics for annual trade shows.Reporting closely to Design and Product Manager to support vision.Market ResearchConduct and competitive shopping, whether it is physical or online shopping.Carrying out category reviews and new product ideas.Visiting exhibitions and trade shows when required.AnalysisUtilising category reviews to formulate new product development decisions.National & International travel as and when required.Candidate requirements:This role is open to graduates and entry level candidates, preferrably with one years' intern experience who can demonstrate a real passion for fashion and developing their careerStrong Adobe illustrator skills are requiredExcellent communicationA committed team player, but able to work using your own initiativeCandidates must have their own transport as public transport links are limitedBenefits include:20 days holiday per annum + bank holidaysOffice based Monday - FridayHours - 9am - 5.30pm Mon - Thurs / Fri - 9am - 5pmSubsidised gym membership at Everyone Active gyms - once a successful probationary period is completed
