- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding children's personal and educational details.
- Collaborate with other professionals, such as speech therapists, occupational therapists, and educational psychologists, to provide holistic support.
- Handle crisis situations, such as meltdowns or behavioural challenges, calmly and professionally.
- Advocate for the needs and rights of children with SEN, ensuring they receive appropriate resources and accommodations.
- Assist in teaching essential life skills, such as time management, organisation, and self-advocacy, to prepare children for life beyond school.
- Solid understanding of the national Key Stage Curriculum.
- Proficiency in various teaching techniques suitable for children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
- Comprehensive knowledge of child development and the learning process.
- Strong commitment to fostering positive relationships with children and understanding their needs.
- Ability to provide personalised attention, encouragement, and support with learning tasks.
- Possess an Enhanced DBS check or be willing to obtain one through Randstad.
- Eligibility to work in the UK without requiring sponsorship.
