- Contribute to the planning, execution, and completion of network infrastructure projects, ensuring alignment with organisational goals, budget constraints and deadlines.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
- Work closely with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
- Collaborate with the network architect and senior engineers to design and implement scalable, secure, and efficient network solutions.
- Continuously assess network performance and reliability, recommending improvements and implementing solutions as needed.
- Coordinate with internal teams, including IT Infrastructure, broadcast operations, cloud platform engineering and commercial systems teams to understand their network requirements and incorporate them into project plans.
- Foster strong relationships with vendors, ensuring the effective support of network equipment and services.
- Provide technical expertise in DevOps adoption and Network Engineering.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network issues, collaborating with the support team to ensure minimal downtime.
- Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, changes, and project status.
- Generate regular reports on project progress, risk registers, key performance indicators, and network performance metrics. Participate in regular project update meetings.
- Experience developing Software Defined Networks, Infrastructure as code and scripted cloud automation using Ansible, Terraform or similar products.
- Experience with Cloud networking in AWS, GCP and Azure including Direct interconnections and peering.
- Experience in project management and reporting, including the use of project management tools, development of task schedules, resource inventories and risk matrix.
- A working level of knowledge in computer networking including BGP, VxLAN, WiFi, NAT/PAT, Firewalls, Multicast and Optical transmission.
- Experience with Cisco networking products like Nexus, IOS-XE and Classic IOS.
- Formal qualifications, bachelor's degree or equivalent in a technical field related to computer science, software development, automation or computer networking.
- Experience with professional media networks including hardware codecs, SMPTE 2110 multicast, packet duplication and precision timing.
- Experience in managing Software Development and automation, particularly using agile methodology.
