Our portfolio spans power, thermal and infrastructure management products, software and solutions, and is complemented by a network of nearly 250 service centers worldwide.We are actively seeking a Project Manager to join our dynamic team in Dublin, Ireland!As a Service Project Manager you will be responsible for the overall direction, execution, control and completion of specific service projects and large T&M jobs, ensuring consistency with company strategy, processes and goals at every stage. This task will include project co-ordination both externally and internally, acting as a single point of contact, H&S and technical document provision and a consistent strive to maintain and exceed defined project performance measures including delivery margins, cost budgets and engineer efficiency etc.As well as project management duties, you will take ownership of allocated incident/event responses across all regions and disciplines of Vertiv's UK Service division. Having been assigned an incident to manage, you will be responsible for the mitigation & resolution of the event, the updates & communication of impact to senior management and the identification and implementation of any identified follow up actions that are required.What kind of work will you be doing?
  • Review and understand requirements and details of each project in order to create and deliver project work plans, revising as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
  • Manage day-to-day operational aspects and lead the planning and implementation of Service projects from order acceptance through to completion and handover.
  • Provide project co-ordination externally between client / consultant, sub-contractors and suppliers and internally between other Vertiv departments including Service Sales, Finance, Service Sales Admin and Service Operations.
  • Provide forecasting and project status updates to NRM via weekly/monthly reports.
  • Work closely with the Service Operations Department to co-ordinate engineering resource ensuring all site works are performed efficiently and with costs only incurred that can be charged to the project.
  • Provide single point of contact for the customer with particular responsibility for attendance at site meetings, preparation of method statements, risk assessments, project schedules and drawings etc as necessary.
  • Ensure that any activity, task and responsibility required by role in terms of the International Trade Compliance Regulation is managed and performed in full compliance with the Company ITC certification program itself.
  • Manage major incidents according to Vertiv's process, opening, escalating, updating, and closing tickets promptly.
  • Follow appropriate escalation procedures.
  • Review non-contract sales costing sheets to enhance profit margins.
  • Coordinate operational improvements for non-contract sales to maximize profits.
  • Communicate post-incident details and management metrics.
  • Maintain regular communication with management and the business on ticket status and process adherence.
What will make you successful?
  • At least 5-10 years experience in the Electrical / Electronic support industry in a range of positions to give a high level of knowledge of, service provisioning, Customer management and Safety Procedures.
  • HNC / HND in Electrical / Electronic engineering / or equivalent.
  • Ideally educated to degree level with a technical background.
  • Strong financial management & IT skills.
  • Strong focus on customer satisfaction and long-term customer relation building.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications.
  • Commercially astute with good negotiation skills.
  • Ability to successfully interface with various departments and personnel in potentially stressful situations.
  • Proven Team Leader with ability to inspire top performance.
