Posted on behalf ofUKBICOur client, a leading organisation focusing on battery cell research and manufacturing has an exciting opportunity for an EOL Test Engineer. The successful candidate will develop, implement and review of end-of-line testing standards, specifications, and customer qualification requirements.The EOL Test Engineer will:
  • Take part in laboratory equipment review and bring recommendations and feedback on topics such as measuring tools and inspection equipment or methods.
  • Report on activities on a regular basis to the Technical Lead.
  • Create end-of-line test reports and records for audit.
  • Coordinate with Manufacturing and Product Engineers to provide manufacturability studies for end-of-line testing in battery cells and module & packs while maintaining quality, safety and environmental standards and achieving targets in a timely fashion.
  • Engage with industrial equipment suppliers to commission and install equipment.
The EOL Test Engineer will have:
  • Hands-on experience working with CANalayzer, CANape, CANoe, PCAN.
  • Awareness of Battery hazards related to HV secondary Lithium-ion rechargeable batteries.
  • Lithium-ion battery testing experience in an automotive environment (Cell, Module and Pack), programming and calibration of test equipment, creating test procedure steps, review process capability.
  • Experience of HV DC systems, practical experience of testing batteries for automotive applications to include liquid cooled systems, diagnostics and fault finding and root cause analysis.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong problem-solving skills are essential.
