IT Support Engineer - GLW Feeds - ShepshedDescriptionRobert Half have partnered with GLW Feeds on a retained basis to recruit and IT Support Engineer on a permanent basis to be based onsite on their Loughborough site.Established in 1873, GLW Feeds are one of the largest independent, family-owned livestock and specialty feed manufacturers in the UK.They provide concentrates, custom meals, blends, moist feeds and straights together with minerals, fats, milk powders, silage additives, fertilisers, grass and cereal seeds too. They also offer a range of services including calf-rearing and weighing, silage, mineral and dung analysis, herd management, and feed plans.Key ResponsibilitiesFirst point of contact for all end usersUser account setup and maintenance (AD+AAD+O365)IT Induction and face to face support and training where neededInstallation, configuration, and maintenance of end user devices (Windows clients, Android & iPhone mobiles, printers, projectors etc)Use of Freshdesk helpdeskDiagnose and resolve hardware and software issues, escalate more complex problems (1st, 2nd and 3rd Level support)Contribute to documentation and knowledge baseProvide advice to end users when requiredWork within defined Standard Operating ProceduresThe preferred candidate:Proven experience in an end user facing IT Support role providing in depth 2nd Line technical supportWindows OS (10-11)Windows Server 2012 R2 up until currentComprehensive understanding of DNS, DHCP, Group PolicyActive DirectoryAzure Active DirectoryRunning AD + AAD in a hybrid setupMicrosoft Office Suite (including Teams & OneDrive and broader M365 applications).Understand the principles of VLANs, STP, SSH, QoSExcellent working knowledge of troubleshooting commands and tools within Windows OSExcellent organisational and administrative skills with an ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneouslyExcellent verbal and written communication skillsDesirable experience/QualificationsCCNA R/S, MCSE/MCSA/AZ-800, AZ-900 certifiedExperience of working in a manufacturing or factory environmentExperience of working in a family-owned businessPackage/Salary£32,000 - £36,000 basic salaryRobert Half Ltd acts as an employment business for temporary positions and an employment agency for permanent positions.
