- You will join us on a full time, permanent basis working on a permanent nightshift and day shift and in return you will receive a competitive salary. Your role will include effective planning in conjunction with fellow team members to ensure the uptime of business assets, by maintaining equipment through regular PPM’s and efficient repairs, to always ensure continuity of production.
- Be the first line support for any machine issues ensuring that machine are back up and running quickly and safely.
- Carry out re-active, on-going and planned preventative maintenance, and ensuring that all plant property, equipment and other assets are fit for purpose, in compliance with Group standards and best practices.
- Attend breakdowns as necessary, facilitating repairs to ensure continuity of production is a priority.
- To be a strong advocate of H&S and ensure to operate in line with Health and Safety Standards
- Responsible for ensuring that accident prevention measures are initiated as required and that PPM schedule is adhered to, escalating any issues as appropriate.
- Pro-active in your approach you will work to continuously improve machine availability and effectiveness.
- Be able to effectively prioritize repairs when machinery is in planned downtime.
- Work closely with existing engineering staff to understand and excel in all three sites engineering processes and procedures.
- Liaise with third party engineering companies to be able to manufacture machine parts when necessary.
- To have a positive approach to upskilling of your mechanical knowledge to ensure the business has best in class service.
- Learn to understand and work with Shire System software so repair and PPM worksheets can be updated and new schedules input.
- Be required to attend regular Maintenance Meetings to review current PPM, Repair and General maintenance work.
- Take part and promote 6S within your department.
- To undertake any other reasonable tasks and responsibilities as requested by your Line Manager
- To undertake all working practices in accordance with Health & Safety regulations, rules laid out in the Company handbook and utilising all protective equipment as provided by the Company as require.
- You will be working in a Commercial Printers which house a variety of machinery, from Goss Web and Heidelberg Sheet fed printing presses to large format Guillotines, Folders and Stitching Lines.
