- Student Engagement: Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and creativity.
- Assessment and Feedback: Implement effective assessment strategies and provide constructive feedback to students to support their learning and growth.
- Professional Development: Stay updated with the latest trends and developments in Resistant Materials education and participate in ongoing professional development opportunities.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with colleagues in the Technology faculty to enhance the overall learning experience for students.
- Extra-Curricular Involvement: Engage in extra-curricular activities related to Resistant Materials to enrich the educational experience of students outside the classroom.
- Qualifications: Teaching qualification in level 7 or above (NZQA equivalent) and valid New Zealand Teaching Registration.
- Experience: Proven experience teaching Resistant Materials, particularly in Engineering and Woodwork, at the secondary school level.
- Skills: Strong communication skills, classroom management abilities, and a passion for innovative teaching methods.
- Knowledge: Sound understanding of the New Zealand curriculum preferred
- Attributes: Enthusiastic, patient, and committed to supporting the holistic development of students.
- Relevant teaching qualification in level 7 or above
