Oversee the negotiation, drafting, and review of various contracts, agreements, and legal documents related to mining operations, joint ventures, acquisitions, and partnerships
Manage legal due diligence processes for potential investments and transactions
Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards in the jurisdictions where the company operates
Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including executives, finance, and operations teams, to provide legal support and guidance
Represent the company in legal proceedings, disputes, and negotiations with external parties
Stay updated on legal developments, trends, and best practices in the mining and natural resources industry
Build and maintain relationships with external legal counsel and advisorsRequirements: Qualification and SkillMinimum of 10 years of experience practicing law, with a strong focus on international transactions and mining investments.
Experience with M&A in a Mining Environment.
Previous experience working in a senior legal role within the mining or natural resources sector is highly desirable.
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from a reputable law school, with a license to practice law in relevant jurisdictions.
Deep understanding of international business and legal frameworks, including contract law, corporate law, and international trade regulations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex legal concepts to non-legal stakeholders.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
Proven track record of successfully managing legal aspects of complex international transactions.
