Our differences are what fuel our creativity.What will you do?The core purpose of the Senior IT Project Manager role is to manage the end-to-end delivery of internal global technology projects within Aurecon. The role is responsible for mitigating delivery risk to the organization through ensuring that the solutions we implement meet expected business outcomes, are fit for purpose, futureproofed and are ready to be supported.Here are the key things you will do to ‘bring ideas to life’.Owning the entire IT delivery lifecycle, from project initiation to closure (including Agile delivery).Adherence to project delivery frameworksManage gates/checkpointsStatus reporting, Deliverables and sign-offsDefining project scope, timelines, budget, and success criteriaScrum of Scrums and Governance Forums as required (Steering Committee, etc.)Coordinate schedule creation with project team/collect key activitiesAccountability and Responsibility in the Ways of Working EvolutionSprint Plan, Standups, Backlog Refinement, Showcase, Retrospective, etc.Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills with an ability to adapt to the needs of the team and stakeholdersStrong narrative, context setting and story-telling ability.Regular Risk reviewsWeekly Risk and Issue managementClear definition of scope, requirements, that is reviewed and signed-off as per delivery frameworkManagement of scope change throughout project using change control process.Estimates included in Business Problem Canvas.Actuals and estimates to be completed monthlyChange variations raised for budgets with more than (± 5%) variationDefined project org. structure and roles and responsibilities (communicated to team)Effort estimations produced for all activitiesActual effort and progress against schedule tracked throughout projectEnsure Quality Criteria for project are definedComplete Quality Checks throughout project to ensure solution meets required qualityChange Impact Assessments completed and executed accordinglyWhat can you bring to the team?Firstly, strong sense of responsibility, flexibility, and adaptability to varying request. You will also need the following:Bachelor or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Business or related fieldProject Management Qualifications (Prince 2, PMBOK)10+ years as a Project Manager or equivalent to Senior PMWorkplace Domain Project experience – Mandatory- Device policy and life cycle management- Creation and Management of SOE (OS & Device settings)- Microsoft 365 suite o Packaging and Deploying software- Management of Exchange & MS Teams platform- Azure/Citrix Virtual Desktop- AV / Telephony - desirable- MacOS (fleet) deployment – desirable.- GenAI – Copilot - desirableAdvanced Project Management Methodologies: In-depth knowledge and ability to tailor them to project specifics.Strong communication and interpersonal skills including negotiation and influencing skills.Very strong Stakeholder Management able to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels to ensure clear communication, manage expectations, and build strong working relationships.Strong experience and exposure to Agile/Scrum frameworkExperience leading Enterprise level rollouts / deployments or Projects.A technical generalist awareness across core enterprise technologiesStrong commercial acumen – experienced in negotiating and driving project outcomes through preferred suppliers/partnersUnderstanding of IT systems, how they relate and interactMentoring & coaching project team members – experience uplifting capability and quality of delivery/championing project management disciplinesAbility to lead dispersed and diverse technology teams to deliver continuous value for customers.Disciplined approach to planning, budgeting, execution, monitoring activities against plan and financial reconciliationAbility to build and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders and drive stakeholders to deliver on committed outcomesProven ability to consult and facilitate discussions regarding alternative approaches and to broker consensus across stakeholder teams.Able to create effective team environments for people to innovate and learnOur Aurecon Attributes describe the types of people we bring together for clients.
