- Lead a team of Aerospace Assembly, Integration, and Verification (AIV) Technicians, within the assembly and testing activities to complete sub-assemblies as scheduled.
- Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure effective collaboration and productivity.
- Allocate tasks and available resources to the different tasks/reviews, ensuring that the various needs are covered.
- Act as the first interface to manage, filter and sort the tickets/daily tasks that emerge for the AIT team and properly escalate unresolved queries to the next level of support.
- Provide technical support as a subject matter expert in troubleshooting non-conforming components during all operations.
- Provide technical solutions and troubleshoot to technical challenges encountered during assembly and testing activities.
- Identify strategies to improve and expand the AIT area, both in terms of resources and equipment.
- Perform day-to-day tasks and reports on shift details.
- Control and management of warehouse and inventory of company products and modules.
- Monitor the KPIs of the team’s performance and ensure it is adhering to company policies, standards, and procedures.
- Properly execute production needs within daily weekly goals.
- Coach team members on best practices to ensure the quality, efficiency, and throughout of spacecraft modules.
- Belonging to protected categories (L.68/99) is mandatory.
- Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- 3+ years of technical leadership experience with an electro-mechanical discipline in the aerospace industry.
- Familiarity with National Instruments equipment.
- Competency with a variety of testing equipment, including power supplies, DC loads, DAQs, test harnesses.
- Competency with a variety of hand tools, including torque wrenches, crimping tools, epoxy applicators, tap & die sets, deburring tools, rotary tools, drill press, bandsaw.
- Competency in using calipers & micrometers to perform conformance inspection of mechanical structures.
- Familiarization with cleanroom and ESD precautionary measures.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, to help and guide the team.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- Attention to details and proven commitment to maintain high-quality standards.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and tight deadlines.
- IPC J-STD-001 and IPC-A-620 are not required but are highly desired.
- Previous Atlassian software experience; JIRA familiarity is highly desired.
- Fluent English and Italian are mandatory (expected C1).
