Job Description:The RoleWe are on the lookout for a Health and Safety Partner to join our collaborative and dynamic team based in our Dunsandel manufacturing site. This role requires you to support, influence and improve the safety culture of departments within your designated portfolio. You will be focussed on training and capability improvement.You will responsible for enabling our people on their 'Synlait Safe' journey at all levels across our Dunsandel site (and other national locations as required). You will leave no stone unturned in your pursuit of practical solutions.The main responsibilities of this role include:

Support the Head of Health, Safety & Wellbeing to implement the Synlait Safe strategy and annual plan throughout the business
Lead the implementation of specific training programmes within your portfolio
Provide expert advice and support to address specific hazards and risks across the business
Champion change and culture transformation

We are looking for a Health and Safety professional with experience working in complex manufacturing or high hazard facilities. The key to your success will be your skillset in developing and implementing effective systems, strong communication and engagement, knowledge of critical risk management and providing impactful leadership to address safety and wellbeing performance.Skills and ExperienceTo be considered for this role will require …

You will have previous demonstrated experience in safety leadership or implementing effective safety management systems and change programmes
Experience working in a partnership role directly supporting managers
Ability to build strong and enduring relationships
Experience working in a manufacturing or high hazard facility
Strong working knowledge of Health and Safety at Work Act (2015) and Regulations
Project management experience would be advantageous

A tertiary education in Health and Safety (e.g. NEBOSH, Post Grad or Diploma) is highly regarded in this role.What's next?
