This role is based in London.This is a 12-month contract (temp to perm), to start as soon as possible.The Role: Group Finance DirectorDay-to-day management and development of Tomorrow's Finance Team to enable the production of accurate, complete and timely historic and forecast financial information for the Group and its subsidiary companies.The role reports to the CFO and oversees finance staff in various offices around the world.As the Finance Director, you will be responsible for the following areas:Oversight of:
  • Production of annual budgets and forecasts, including three-year plans and associated investment brand business plans.
  • Production and analysis of monthly Group Management Accounts, including variance analysis to budget and forecast.
  • Preparation of monthly management accounts and business plans for investment brands and other entities where Tomorrow shares ownership.
  • Production of management information for divisional management and budget holders.
  • Cash flow forecasting and treasury functions, including managing short- and medium-term cash requirements, monitoring debt levels, bank charges, and day-to-day liaison with the group’s bankers.
  • Coordination and production of statutory accounts for all companies within the group, including liaison with auditors to agree on timetables and resolve technical and interpretation issues.
  • Company tax compliance and group taxation planning.
  • Review and management of the group recharge system considering minority shareholder and taxation considerations.
  • Approval and sign-off on payroll calculations before submission to the bureau by the People Team, including payroll accounting.
  • Ensuring adequate insurance coverage across all areas of the group.
  • Advising on income recognition and accounting treatments/policies for new business initiatives and acquisitions.
  • Reviewing and adapting to changes in accounting standards.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Overseeing and enhancing the control environment.
  • Providing strategic information and advice to the business.
  • Assisting with due diligence and other M&A activities.
  • Offering ad hoc support as needed.
Requirements
  • Must be a qualified ACA, CIMA, ACCA (or equivalent).
  • Enthusiastic, motivated with a committed ‘can do’ attitude.
  • Open and inclusive management style; mentoring and nurturing junior team members.
  • Hands-on approach with a focus on results and meeting deadlines.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, able to interact with all levels of colleagues and external parties.
  • Flexibly IT competent, with excellent knowledge of Excel.
  • Previous exposure to NetSuite is desirable.
