- Modelling and Insight: Build and operate a fluid financial model to scenario plan with ease and agility and ultimately provide reliable information to support key business decisions.
- Month end: Overseeing month end to ensure all necessary data is captured and processed accurately by the finance team. Producing management packs and other insightful reports for the board and senior management.
- Analysis: Producing insight that drives impact and supports decision-making across the business. This will also include storytelling and messaging – so that the numbers, trends, analytics are brought to life and have impact.
- Cash Flow: Maintain a rolling 3-month cash flow forecast and a higher-level extended forecast to ensure sufficient cash is maintained at all times and aligns to future projects, investment and overall company requirements.
- Business Partnering: Being a commercial finance business partner to the SLT and wider business to help shape future initiatives and facilitate the continued growth of the business. This will also encompass effective stakeholder management with current and future investors.
- Governance & Risk Management: Proactively identifying and mitigating financial risks. Ensuring compliance with all financial regulations and reporting standards. Implementing robust risk management processes.
- You’re willing and able to lead on all things finance for a super ambitious startup where the minimum requirement is maximum effort
- You're comfortable working in a startup environment and adapting to changing priorities.
- You can translate complex financial information into clear, compelling narratives to various stakeholders.
- You know how to deliver a highly effective, efficient, engaging finance team and function with impact and forging strong, lasting relationships across the business.
- You are an excellent communicator and have great people skills with high levels of self-awareness.
- An accountancy qualification ACA/ACCA/CIMA
- Minimum of 5-8 years experience
- Relevant industry experience is preferable - but we will consider others if you can demonstrate a high level of commercial acumen and impact played in a fast growing business.
- Experience with Xero is ideal
- To be very comfortable modelling different financial and commercial scenarios
- Experience of working and driving high levels of engagement and being a highly effective and impactful commercial finance person.
- Preferred: Experience navigating a Series A funding raise
- Preferred: US market expansion experience
