We're a global group encompassing many sectors of the retail market but what makes us unique is that we work As One.About the Role:The Girlswear Designer is a varied role and will support our fantastic inhouse design team. This role will also help in preparing and contributing to customer meetings, with collecting samples, and developing ranges of shape, print and graphic design.We are looking for a Designer who is:
- Experienced high-street fashion design across girlswear or kidswear
- Commercially aware of current trends and themes, developing the brand and working with production to ensure all products are designed and manufactured in line with the customers’ direction and critical path within sometimes tight deadlines.
- An excellent communicator and someone who is comfortable working with colleagues and customers at all levels, including customers and factories and third parties based in the Far East and Europe
- Highly organised, efficient and able to work to tight deadlines
- Have experience working within in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word & Excel), photoshop and Illustrator, 3D design skills are beneficial
- Ability to design shape and graphics
- To have garment technical knowledge, and ability to generate detailed tech packs
- Driven and results orientated
- Proactive, positive and solutions focused
- Educated to degree level, ideally in a qualification related to fashion design, business or retail
- Initial interview, with the hiring manager and a member of the HR team
- If successful in the initial interview, a design project will be set
- Second interview, in person, with the hiring manager and team
