- Receive incoming product, affix proper labeling and scan product into computer
- Replenish cases to active pick areas using pick carts; scan product to location.
- Pick units using cart, tote and material handling equipment.
- Move product within the department and to processing area.
- Complete packing process by using specific procedures/function keys to access and update inventory system
- Perform all the functions in Shipping, as required to prepare product for store, including loading trucks.
- Process product for storage or stores, including adding hangers, sizers, removing polybags, making price changes, applying antitheft devices, etc. Perform each of the Value-Added Services that the customer has requested (i.e. price tag, bay sticker, hanger, debag, rebag, etc.).
- Ensure that first quality returned product is in appropriate condition for restocking, i.e., clean, bagged, tagged, etc. Separate items by SKU, create case
- May operate manual or automated material handling equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and/or order pickers.
- Operating hours are ~5:00am - 6:00pm and there are 2 shifts we are hiring for detailed below:
- Sunday - Thursday (work 10-hour shifts on 4 of these days) OR
- Tuesday - Saturday (work 10-hour shifts on 4 of these days)
- Must be available any hours from 5:00am - 6:00pm for one of those 2 shift schedules
- Each TM will receive one weekend day off and have at least two consecutive days off each week
- Maintains accuracy and attention to detail while using Warehouse Management System (WMS) to ensure accountability for all units.
- Maintains positive open lines of communication with all Columbia Sportswear management, staff and other departments in order to contribute to the smooth flow of information and efficient operation of the organization.
- No specific education required, HS or GED preferred
- Requires less than 2 years of experience in position or specialization. Possess knowledge of warehouse operations.
- Ability to read, speak and understand English.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods of time on concrete.
- Possess basic computer skills or ability to be trained on the computer.
- Ability to perform repetitive arm/shoulder movements, and frequently lift/carry up to 40 pounds.
- Knowledge focused primarily on basic understanding of the application of tools, equipment or machinery. Knowledge and skill gained through on the job experience.
- Works under direct supervision and follows standard procedures to accomplish assigned tasks.
- The job consists of straightforward tasks that follow clearly defined steps.
- Problems are referred to higher levels.
- Work processes are routine in nature but may be varied by rotation to other departments.
- Job is performed in warehouse environment, which could include hot or cold temperatures, dust and noise.
- Employees are expected to achieve hourly production targets based on engineered standards.
- Job may require hours that often exceed 8 hours per day and/or 40 hours per week to complete priority projects.
- Exposure to Distribution Center machinery/equipment such as conveyor belts, forklifts and loading docks.
- Exposure to CRT, and radio frequency devices.
