Description:Ark Medical Practice is a small medical practice at the heart of Falkirk Town centre.Due to forthcoming retirement we are looking for a Salaried GP to work 6 sessions on a Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. We tend toward a traditional General practice model with untriaged appointments, so a nice mix of chronic disease to sore throats and core cradle to grave GP work.We have a generally satisfied patient population and score well on the GP patient survey.https://www.falkirkherald.co.uk/health/scottish-gp-patient-survey-2022-the-12-best-rated-doctors-surgeries-in-falkirk-district-3787371The job plan is for Wednesday with 12 appointments morning and afternoon. Thursday 12 Appointments morning and 3 in the afternoon with time for CPD/Admin/Appraisal during the afternoon session. Friday 12 morning and 12 afternoon. They include a mix of telephone and face to face and are untriaged. But front reception is quite experienced and signpost where appropriate. These appointments can be 10 or 15 minutes depending on preference. We average about 2-3 home visits a week.Our current list size is 2700 patients. Our team consists of a GP Partner and Salaried GP who both currently work 6 sessions. We have an Advanced Nurse Practitioner Tuesday AM and PM and Thursday AM. Advanced Physiotherapy practitioner Friday morning and Mental Health Nurse Friday PM. Pharmacist Tues PM, Wednesday Am, Friday PM. Pharmacy Technician Thursday PM.We have a practice nurse Mon, Tues (am), Thursday (am) and Friday. Phlebotomy on a Wednesday. All supported by our friendly and hard-working practice admin team.We currently match demand at the practice well with a 50/50 split of on the day and routine appointments. With average waits about 3-5 days for routine.
