We plan, execute and enforce policies and standards to ensure the safety & security of our people, facilities and other key assets.We also help influence the overall strategic direction of the company by supporting senior management with timely risk assessments, insights & advice.If being constantly on the move and problem solving excites you, this is the role for you. Successful candidates will work on multi-dimensional projects, with our regional teams, and external partners to tackle real-time issues for a fast growing business.Get to know the Role:
  • Develop internal policies and streamlined processes for Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) and Security.
  • Proactively assess and manage OHS & Security risks across all Grab SG operations.
  • Establish and maintain impactful safety and security metrics, fostering heightened safety awareness and ensuring compliance with facilities.
  • Keep senior management informed about OHS and Security scenarios that affect Grab operations.
  • Collaborate with service partners to promote workplace well-being and mental health initiatives.
The day-to-day activities:
  • Formulate, refine, and evolve internal policies and lean processes for OHS and physical security.
  • Identify, prevent, mitigate, and effectively respond to potential and actual safety and security risks impacting staff, company assets, or operations.
  • Align with Grab SG's business objectives and provide practical, business-friendly health, safety, and security advice, offering innovative solutions.
  • Continuously monitor OHS & Security objectives, proactively pursuing early interventions and robust preventive measures.
  • Design and implement comprehensive OHS training and testing programs.
  • Develop persuasive business cases to justify investments in risk mitigation.
  • Gather and manage information and process data to identify meaningful risk trends for effective identification and mitigation.
  • Collaborate with country and regional partners to identify critical areas for service improvement.
  • Proactively manage vendor relationships, conduct performance reviews, and ensure quality service provision.
  • Offer expert guidance and consultation on OHS & Security aspects for Grab premises.
  • Timely escalation and efficient management of OHS & Security incidents.
  • Foster and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Oversee the complete lifecycle of employees' ID badges, including production, replacement, renewal, and termination.
  • Administer security access through the access control system, granting or revoking permissions as needed.
QualificationsThe must-haves:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant accreditation
  • MOM Registered Workplace Safety & Health Officer (WSHO) or in process of obtaining certification.
  • Possess at least 2 years of professional experience within the Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) and Security sector.
  • Solid spoken and written communication skills
  • Current on industry and governmental regulations, and bring strong relationships with local government or private sector counterparts
  • An analytical mindset with ability to present and execute on actionable findings
  • An ability to develop a variety of complex policies and procedures with minimal supervision
  • Possess good problem solving/decision making, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Displays strong judgement, a well-grounded moral compass, and a humble disposition that respects and resonates with the unique culture at Grab.
  • Executive presence to be able to influence leaders, drive positive outcomes
  • An ability to work cross-functionally, independently or virtually in a minimally structured and fast-paced environment
  • Self-motivated and driven to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and to meet highly dynamic deadlines
  • Proficiency in Google applications, including Google Sheets, Slides, and Docs, is highly advantageous.
