Residential Project (Major)
Cork City QuaysOptimize Recruitment, working closely with our tier 1 client, are seeking a Site Engineer for a major Residential Project in Cork City. The project will consist of 300+ residential units, along with retail spaces, parking area and additional power associated works. The project will reach over 10 storeys with façade created from glazing and brickwork.The ideal candidate will have previous experience working with a main Irish Contractor and ideally, will have worked on large residential projects prior.Responsibilities:
- Establish the work scope and ensure clear comprehension among foremen and operatives.
- Communicate details from drawings, specifications, etc., to foremen, operatives, and subcontractors to ensure requirements are understood.
- Conduct material testing as instructed by your supervisor/line manager following the relevant specifications.
- Document daily activities, pertinent information, and events in the site diary.
- Monitor and report on the progress of work, including subcontractors' activities, to your manager.
- Practice safe work habits, complying with all Health & Safety regulations.
- Foster and sustain professional relationships with all team members.
- Enhance profit through effective self-management, precise work execution, and minimizing rework.
- Adhere to instructions and participate in meetings as needed.
- Possession of a tertiary Engineering qualification
- At least 2 years of experience in setting out or as a Site Engineer
- Preferred experience with main contractors, subcontractors, surveying firms, or similar
- Solid understanding of Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations
- Outstanding communication abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Project, PowerPoint, and related tools
