- Develop a comprehensive business plan outlining the Regional Thiess Institute (Institute) mission, vision, and objectives.
- Conduct market research to identify opportunities and trends in the education sector and mining related industries.
- Define and implement a strategic roadmap for the successful launch and sustainable growth of the Institute.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to design and develop innovative internally facing and market-relevant educational programs.
- Create a diverse portfolio of courses and programs to meet the needs of a varied target audience.
- Apply contemporary pedagogical techniques to ensure the desired learning outcomes are achieved through all Institute programs and educational products.
- Monitor and review all programs and initiatives to ensure 'excellence' is attained in maintained.
- Develop and manage the institute's budget, including financial forecasting and resource allocation.
- Identify and establish partnerships with relevant industry stakeholders, educational institutions, and community organizations.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive in-country marketing and branding strategy to promote the Institute's offerings.
- Oversee the setup of physical and technological infrastructure required for service and support delivery.
- Manage relationships with vendors, ensuring the procurement of necessary resources and services
- Implement and monitor quality assurance measures to uphold Institute standards.
- Organize and execute events, workshops, and promotional activities to engage the community and attract students.
- Bachelor's degree in education, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree preferred
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as Head of Institute or equivalent of a higher education, with a significant portion in academic leadership or management roles, including 3 years of teaching experience.
- Demonstrated expertise and contributions in the field of the academic department.
- Strong understanding of accreditation standards and processes.
- Experience in budget management and resource allocation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proven experience in project management and startup environments.
- Strong understanding of educational trends, curriculum development, and program delivery.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements for educational institutions.
