Job Title: SEN Teaching AssistantLocation: Burgess HillSalary: £77 - £95 per dayContract: Full-Time, Monday to Friday, 8.30 am - 3.30 pm (flexible hours considered), Temp to PermProtocol Education are currently recruiting for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join an special school catering for learners from 2-19 years old. They have provision to meet the needs of children with learning disabilities from moderate to profound. Many pupils also have additional needs, such as Speech, Language and Communication Needs, Autism, physical disabilities, medical needs, and sensory impairments. The role will involve working with students exhibiting behavioural difficulties and may include speech language and communication needs in the context of social communication.Key Responsibilities:As a SEN Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will include:
  • Working closely with teachers to support the learning needs of a small group of students.
  • Assisting in designated curriculum areas and other requested areas to enhance the overall learning experience.
  • Providing support to pupils with communication and interaction difficulties, moderate learning difficulties, and other challenges affecting their learning and confidence.
  • Addressing individual needs related to language comprehension, writing, organization, and other difficulties impacting learning.
  • Adapting to the varying range of abilities and complexities presented by students across different areas of the curriculum.
  • Offering support to pupils with medical conditions or physical limitations.
