- providing independent risk oversights for activities undertaken by CIMB Private Banking Malaysia ("PBM").
- providing independent credit assessment and recommendations on credit proposals originating from PBM.
- providing independent credit portfolio level risk assessment and recommendations.
- drive any risk initiatives, projects, tasks assigned by Head of Private Banking Risk Malaysia.
- As second line of defence and a credit/risk specialist, support the credit/risk activities in and provide risk oversight function for CIMB Private Banking Malaysia ("PBM") focusing on credit risk management; with the objective of minimizing credit losses to the Bank.
- Perform independent credit assessment and recommendations on credit proposals or requests by PBM to ensure that informed decisions are made by the approving authorities inclusive of the Group's credit committees.
- Perform independent credit portfolio level risk assessment; data gathering, analysis of risk, observations and recommendations.
- To facilitate the activities and initiatives of the department, including the Group Private Banking Credit Committee secretariat functions.
- Drive credit risk initiatives / projects / tasks assigned by Head Private Banking Risk Malaysia.
- Work closely with counterparts within Group Risk, Credit Risk CoE and other Business Units in harmonizing / enhancing credit policies, procedures, frameworks and underwriting standards.
- Good first degree in finance related discipline.
- Omega Senior Credit Workshop Certification (to be obtained).
- AICB Credit Risk related qualifications (to be obtained).
- At least 2 years of relevant risk / credit experience. Knowledge of wealth management or Private Banking will be an added advantage.
- Versed in the handling of data / MIS; providing analysis, observations and recommendations.
- Effective communication and networking; ability to articulate in a clear and structured manner in both speech and writing.
- Results driven, ability to demonstrate initiative, learning and passion in delivering results with customer centricity.
