- Partner with the Engineering leadership and relevant functions to continue to build organizational rigor across the entire engineering organization
- Develop an understanding of each team's function within the Rubrik products portfolio to be able to facilitate removing roadblocks as they arise. These may include but aren't limited to resource constraints, software needs, further collaboration across teams outside of engineering etc.
- Drive technical & strategic programs across Engineering and build strong partnerships with key cross-functional stakeholders including but not limited to Product Management, Information Security, IT and Finance to drive business goals and ensure program success
- Develop collaterals (presentations, pre-reads, communications) for the VP of Engineering Operations on engineering initiatives as needed
- Lead by influence, motivating extended team members that are not direct reports to deliver agreed upon timelines
- Escalate key issues as appropriate, using good judgment based on knowledge of the issue and impacts
- Own & manage the existing OKR process by driving the development of quarterly goals, ensuring mid-quarter check-in on progress, and wrap up the quarter by scoring goals and establishing goals for the next quarter.
- Own & manage the existing Quarterly business review process including determining if template changes are needed and facilitating execution of the changes and communication broadly across the teams
- Own and drive procurement activities for the licensing of software for engineering including embedded software in Rubrik products as well as tools needed by engineers.
- Assist in the management and tracking of Engineering budgets including making recommendations for optimization
- BS in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical field
- 10+ years of experience managing technical projects ideally in a software engineering domain.
- 5+ years of experience,preferably in an engineering organization, in designing and establishing processes to build strength and improve rigor in execution, quality and organizational health.
- Experience working with a product or service from conception, implementation to go-to-market activities would be desirable
- Current or previous experience as a chief of staff and/or leadership in operational roles within an engineering organization desirable
- Excellent networking and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to collaborate across teams and levels.
- Capable of strong individual contribution and influence across non-direct reporting teams
- Proven track record in project and business management with outstanding attention to detail
- Experience leading and executing projects in a complex organizational environment and work on several diverse projects at the same time
- Superb communication skills in both verbal and written forms, with the ability to craft and deliver content to operating teams as well as senior executives.
- Ability to excel in ambiguity and demonstrate solid judgment and rigor in a fast-paced environment.
