Over 20 years of pursuing this mission, we have been successful in moving thousands of drug dependent offenders away from a lifestyle revolving around crime, and drug or alcohol dependence.We believe and are committed to providing opportunities to all people including those with ‘Lived Experience’ we encourage applications from all background including those in recovery from addiction, co-dependency or gambling, have experience of previous offending or homelessness.What you will be doing?As a Team Leader you will be responsible for leading a team of Health and Well-being Practitioners. This role is based on site at HMP Downview, a female closed category prison located in Sutton.Day-to-day a Team Leader will:
  • Oversee the day-to-day operational delivery of the Substance Misuse Service at HMP Downview alongside the Service Manager.
  • Provide support, supervision and line management to the team.
  • Hold a caseload of complex service users and deliver interventions both 1:1 and group facilitation.
  • Develop team and individual objectives to acheive targets set by Forward Trust, commissioners and key stakeholders.
  • Proactively engage and establish effective working relationships with all stakeholders.
  • Ensure case management and group programme are effecitvely planned and delivered to organsiational standards.
  • Support and monitor supervisees to ensure appropriate caseload management in line with service contract and specification.
  • Support recrutiement and retention activities.
  • monitor outcomes of performance and support appropriate data collection and submissions where necessary.
  • Contirbute to ongoing service improvement and risk management in accordance with the needs of the service users, audit and CQC requirements.
*** Please be aware the service operates over 7 days a week therefore weekend working will be required on a rota basis***What we are looking for?
  • Experience of working within a Health and Justice setting
  • Experiance of direct line management or supervisory responsibilites
  • Awareness of the issues faced by those impacted by addiction or offending
