Together with our customers we are creating a safer future for Kent and Medway.Being a Leadership and Learning SpecialistAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a Leadership and Learning Specialist to deliver our leadership and management development solutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a range of different learning and development solutions across Kent Fire and Rescue Service. Working alongside other members of the Leadership and Learning Team, you will be developing our colleagues’ skills, knowledge and behaviours using a wide range of programmes and technology-based solutions.What you’ll do
  • Be responsible for the delivery and rollout of our leadership programmes.
  • Develop and deliver a range of online resources to support line managers in Kent Fire and Rescue Service.
  • Join a small team to help develop the future leadership pipeline and talent management processes.
  • Work with other subject matter experts to scope out requirements and design and deliver appropriate solutions to support continuous improvement and develop our people.
  • Provide coaching and mentoring at all levels of the organisation.
  • Ensure that inclusion is designed into all of our leadership and learning programmes.
What you’ll bring
  • Practical knowledge and experience of applying leadership and management development.
  • Skills in facilitation and training delivery to engage and motivate our learners to embed their new knowledge and skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills to work with subject matter experts in identifying needs and solutions.
  • Experience in supporting allied teams in delivering compelling blended training and support material. This includes larger programmes and bite-sized, just-in-time resources.
  • Skills in using MS Office products to plan, design and develop your work, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and MS Teams, and SharePoint Online to create toolkits on the intranet.
  • Skills in delivering training using a variety of media (e.g. videos, webinars, live online classrooms)
  • Practical application of the learning cycle, including needs analysis, design, development, implementation, evaluation and iteration.
