- Lead, prepare, and process payroll for all, TrueNorth Companies, fully integrated employees on a 26-payroll cycle
- Process payroll for the sales team on a 12-payroll cycle (monthly)
- Lead, prepare, and process payroll for all, First Main Street Insurance employees on a 24-payroll cycle
- Conduct a monthly benefit reconciliation for each of our insurance carrier bills and compare these invoices to payroll deductions and actual enrollment selections
- Manage our HRIS to manage quarterly and yearly checklists regarding data quality and auditing and improve payroll automation
- Organize, track, approve/deny, and enroll employees in our various leave programs (such as FMLA, WC, STD, etc.) spanning multiple states
- Manage the employee rewards and recognitions program
- Assist the Human Systems team in processing information for various internal/external audits and/or reports (such as worker’s compensation reports, the multiple worksite location report for the Department of Labor, etc.)
- Manage our 260E & 260F credit requests and tracking process, in collaboration with the Human Systems team
- Support the Human Systems Leaders in various compensation initiatives, such as conducting compensation analyses, managing salary increase requests, and contributing to the overall compensation philosophy as it ties into merit increases and bonus payouts
- Pull general ledger reports and submit them to Accounting each payroll week
- Submit 401k and HSA contributions to our carrier portals in compliance with company standards and within the acceptable timeframe
- Set up the tax, payroll, and other settings within our HRIS system and other various portals when employees are hired in new states, in collaboration with the Legal team
- Collaborate with and audit the tax set up for each state on a regular basis, which includes uploading any notices into the system, tracking any confirmations, and confirming updated rate changes
- Process wage garnishments in a timely and accurate manner
- Manage the W2 process, which includes auditing/proofing before release
- Maintain the integrity and confidentiality of Human Resource files and records
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Four-year degree in accounting, finance, human resources, or a related field preferred
- 3-5 years of experience in payroll is required
- Simultaneous payroll processing of separate entities is preferred
- One year of experience in leave administration is required
- Experience using ADP and/or Paylocity preferred
- Previous work experience in Human Resources is preferred
- Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and basic PowerPoint functions is required
