Our teams work in education consultancy, professional development, early years and primary tutoring, digital learning and publishing to improve learning for everyone.We are excited to offer an opportunity for a Bid Writer to become a key part of our dynamic business development team. In this crucial role, you will drive growth and enhance outcomes by crafting and submitting successful bids.Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deliver high-quality proposals and tender submissions, ensuring alignment with client needs and expectations.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to create bespoke, compelling bid content.
  • Strategize and participate in meetings to enhance the effectiveness and success rate of submissions.
  • Edit and ensure consistency, clarity, and compliance with all bid requirements and standards.
  • Utilise storyboarding techniques to visualise and plan the structure of bid responses.
  • Maintain and regularly update the tender library, case study library, and model answers.
  • Coordinate across departments to ensure proposals meet technical and client-specific standards.
  • Work collaboratively on projects including Dynamic Purchasing Systems (DPSs) and frameworks with the Business Development team.
  • Attend market engagement events and contribute to bid development meetings as a participant and scribe.
  • Analyse completed bids to identify areas for improvement.
To be considered you will:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with meticulous attention to detail. (essential)
  • Experience in bid writing. (desirable)
  • Learning and skills sector experience. (desirable)
  • Good track record of securing bids and achieving contractual objectives. (desirable)
  • Good research and analytical skills. (essential)
  • capable of interpreting complex bid requirements. (desirable).
  • Strong organisational skills. (essential)
  • Ability to handle multiple bids simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.(desirable).
  • Degree in English, Business, Communications, Education, or a related field is preferred.
