We have over 75,000 employees and a presence in virtually every country around the world to address some of the most ambitious global health issues.About the roleThe postholder will assure a smooth internal & external Customs and Trade Compliance process for incoming & outgoing goods within EMEA Region. The Specialist will be supporting efficient and cost-effective fulfilment of administrative processes, whilst meeting Global, European, and regional import/export rules.The role is based in Temse, Belgium, and you will be required to work from the office on a 3 days per week basis.Main responsibilities:Understand the regulatory requirements (Customs Authorities & other Authorities) and adapt processes where requiredEnsure focus on certain trade compliance activities such as export controls (sanctioned party screening, dual-use, embargo countries, licenses), supply chain security (C-TAPAT, AEO, Known Consignor)Address day-to-day matters by providing guidance to operational teams in DC Temse, DC Olen, Flex Hungary, European Manufacturing plants…Assist in the management of compliance relations with Government Agencies and service providersHelp in the execution of internal and external audits and associated improvements plans as requiredLead or collaborate on initiatives that will result in continuous improvement of the process- and/or system-compliancy with the European and local import/export regulationsMaintaining customs related master data (commodity code, duty, origin, valuation, …)Accurate legal reporting, customs regime requests, renewals, reclassificationsAbout youYou have a Bachelor's degree with experience related to Customs Authorities & AuthoritiesYou have knowledge in Customs Management & International Trading and System Management (SAP GTS; Customs Streamliner; NCTS, PLDA, …)You are proficient in English and DutchYou have an eye for detail and are customer-focusedYou are action and results drivenYou have strong communication skills!Click on apply if this sounds like you!Why join us?A career at BD means being part of a team that values your opinions and contributions and that empowers you to bring your authentic self to work.
