Do you have a keen interest in supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our dedicated team as a 1:1 Support Staff member at our local high schools in the Sefton area. As a SEN 1:1 Support Staff member, you will provide personalized support to students with ASD and ADHD, helping them navigate their high school experience and achieve their full potential. You will work closely with students across their lessons, ensuring they have the assistance they need to succeed academically and socially. Your role will involve creating a supportive and inclusive environment, fostering positive relationships, and implementing strategies to enhance their learning and development. Key Responsibilities: -Provide 1:1 support to students with ASD and ADHD during lessons and school activities. -Assist students in understanding and completing classroom tasks and assignments. -Implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies. -Encourage social interaction and support the development of social skills. -Monitor and record students' progress and report to teachers and SEN coordinators. -Adapt teaching materials and methods to meet students' individual needs. -Promote a positive and inclusive school environment. Qualifications and Requirements: -Experience working with children or young adults with ASD and ADHD is preferred. -Strong communication and interpersonal skills. -Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting students with special educational needs. -Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently. -Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check is required.
