- Engage in comprehensive psychiatric assessments and diagnostic evaluations of adult patients presenting with a wide range of mental health disorders.
- Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans, including pharmacotherapy, psychotherapy, and psychosocial interventions, tailored to individual patient needs and preferences.
- Participate actively in multidisciplinary team meetings, case conferences, and clinical supervision sessions to discuss patient management strategies and ensure coordinated care delivery.
- Provide clinical leadership and support to junior medical staff, including Foundation Year doctors and Core Psychiatry Trainees, in the assessment, diagnosis, and management of psychiatric disorders.
- Contribute to audit, research, and quality improvement projects within the psychiatric department to enhance service delivery and patient outcomes.
- Engage in ongoing professional development activities, including attendance at training courses, seminars, and conferences, to expand clinical knowledge and skills.
- Full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) and eligibility for inclusion on the Specialist Register or be within six months of obtaining Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in Psychiatry.
- Demonstrated commitment to pursuing a career in Adult Psychiatry, with prior experience in psychiatric settings during Foundation Years or Core Psychiatry Training.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport with patients, families, and multidisciplinary team members.
- Strong clinical acumen and decision-making abilities, with a focus on evidence-based practice and patient-centered care.
- Flexibility to adapt to the demands of a fast-paced clinical environment and a willingness to engage in continuous professional development.
- Eligibility to work in the United Kingdom and willingness to relocate if necessary.
