Be the next key member of our Rail Switching Team as the PSC Group is now hiring! Spend your days along the rail tracks and work as a team with the engineer on the train to safely move railcars in, out and around the facility. This is a regular full-time position so if you are looking for a stable, long-term career in a booming industry, then consider joining the PSC Group family!Work Schedule: 8 hour shifts, straight daysPay Range: Starting at $14.50 with opportunity for advancementJob Duties & Responsibilities:
- Examines track list to spot, separate, load and/or build railcars for shipment
- Ensures railcars are properly connected and/or are secured by setting the brake
- Separates loaded railcars that will be shipped from those that have been preloaded
- Weighs all inbound and outbound loads and empties to ensure weights do not exceed
- Completes any other duties that may be assigned to complete the job.
- Experience is a plus but not required, and paid on-the-job training is available
- May require a valid Driver’s License and / or a valid TWIC card, depending on work location
- 18 years or older and legally able to work in the U.S.
- Pass a drug screen, physical, and background check
- Previous military experience and proven ability to follow procedures is a plus.
