We are assisting an international multi-disciplinary Main Contractor and leading provider of top notch construction and engineering services in their search for an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to be working in the company's projects in Hertfordshire, UK. The company is focused in operating across Ireland, the UK and Europe and has become the engineering and construction services provider of choice in growth segments such as pharmaceuticals, data centres, life sciences, industrial, commercial, residential and power transmission and distribution.Key Responsibilities & Requirements:Develop electrical systems designs including lighting, power distribution, high and low voltage systems in accordance with project requirements and industry standards.Conduct load calculations, short circuit analysis and coordination studies to optimise system performance and reliability.Managing the design team and offering Electrical engineering support to all Electrical engineers.Liaising with clients and attending meetings on all project aspects.Create electrical drawings, schematics and specifications using CAD software, Siemens S7 to ensure accuracy and completeness.Mastery of AutoCAD/AutoCAD electrical for electrical designs.Collaborate with project managers, engineers and stakeholders to integrate electrical systems into overall project designs.Attend project meetings, planning and provide input on design requirements, allocations and schedules.Carry out code reviews and obtain necessary approvals from regulatory authorities as needed.Develop technical guidance and support to ensure adherence to best practices and safety protocols.Knowledge of current Building Regulations, especially energy-related controls.Maintain accurate records, design changes, revisions and project correspondence.Present project updates to stakeholders providing clear and accurate explanations as needed.Degree in Electrical Engineering or related.4+ years experience as Electrical Design Engineer.Knowledgeable in robotics, AutoCAD/AutoCAD electrical and Siemens S7.Excellent delegation and organisational skills.Ability to work and collaborate with the wider project team.Strong communications and problem solving skills.Please apply with your updated CV and we will contact you in return for a confidential discussion.Ideal candidates must be eligible to work in the UK.
